This website template was created to serve the micro-market that other News/Events/Classifieds sites ignore. The main purpose of the website is to provide an easy to use information and communication hub. This should help build the local economy and and foster more involvement within the community.
To encourage the use of this site, there will be no fees until April 1st, 2025. Users registered before that time will get the first year for free. After that, regular subscription fees will apply. In any case, you will need to register before being able to post. Users attempting to register from outside of the service area will be declined. The whole point is to keep it local! The payment system is not currently live so select either cash or cheque to satisfy the form and you will be allowed to register. You should be able to post right away.
The Editor has the sole discretion to accept or reject any submission to the site.
Users must be registered on the site before creating a Listing.
The main reasons for this are to reduce the occurrence of unwanted interactions and to build trust between Users. This site is meant to be used by residents from the local vicinity. Anyone can view the site and a User can interact with anyone, but those creating Listings must be registered and local. Non-local users will be removed and fees refunded at the sole discretion of the Editor. All Fees will be kept very low to encourage everyone to participate.
Commercial users must register as such.
Commercial users are subject to charges beyond Registration Fees but are afforded premium advertising privileges.
Regular subscribers.
Users must create an account and pay a subscription fee before posting. The small enrollment fee ensures the Users’ legitimacy. Consult the Fee Chart for details of entitlements and costs. A Listing can be subject to additional optional charges to make it a Feature in the Category. Some Categories are subject to additional charges because they represent significant commercial transactions. Regular subscribers cannot create Listings in the Commercial category.
Most of the panes on the front page display content automatically based upon “Listing” submissions. Those panes that show a yellow star are “Featured Listings” which are subject to an extra fee. The large panes are under editorial control. Listings expire after 30 days, but you will be prompted via email to renew, should you wish to. Please remove your listing as soon as possible if it is no longer relevant.

For Classified Listings, simply remember to hold your cell phone camera in Landscape mode (sideways) when taking pictures for submission, not Portrait (up and down), and everything should work out fine. If you are creating graphics, please make them Landscape mode, 4:3 ratio (800 pixels wide by 600 pixels tall) for consistency in presentation.
Editorial submissions (Blog Posts) are best with 4:3 Landscape images. Again, in most cases, 800 x 600 is adequate.
EXCEPTION: Some of the panes (commercial) are designed to handle Portrait graphics in the same 4:3 ratio. That way you can post the same graphic that you are using for other sites.
Please note that everything is subject to change as we adjust this website to work properly. Fees may also require adjustment.
